Lisbon, take 2

After I arrived to Lisbon, my plans pretty much failed me.
My original intention was to stay in a surfcamp hostel and take some surfing lessons, browse around and enjoy the secrets Lisbon had to offer. I tried contacting like 5 different surfcamps, but none of them answered to me. I was - and I am still - a bit disappointed.

I had hard time finding a place to stay in Lisbon as I did my decisions too last minute. I managed to get me a bed in hostel. But not one bed for my whole stay. Instead I had to change beds and rooms every night and one night I even stayed in another hostel. Even though this is a lot better than changing the hostel every night, I wasn't entirely happy with the situation. It's a bit hard to plan the days when every morning you have to pack your things and change the room. It would be better to just let the stuff for the day and come back in the evening.
But it's still better than the other options. Like staying outside Lisbon.
I tolerated it knowing that soon I'll be home. For ... Well, one night.

I was still a bit tired after the Camino so planning and preparing for stuff wasn't my strongest thing. Especially stuff that needs me to figure out something before hand, like make a booking or get my ass to another side of Lisbon to get somewhere.

So yes, I spent my days in Lisbon mainly killing time.
I did make a few new friends while doing so, so it was worth my while.
But yes, I didn't go surfing. I didn't see much of the city, and at the same time I did see a lot of the city. I wandered around, got lost, had good dinners and met cool people... But there isn't that much to tell about my stay in Lisbon. I could write a book about wandering around aimlessly, but I'm not sure you want to read about the endless stairways and cobblestone streets I walked on. Or detailed descriptions on the cafeterias I sat in watching the people walking by, interrupted only by the waitresses checking with me every now and then. Or the moment I sat there disappointed and sad because I had to leave. How I knew that my epic adventure was coming to an end and I didn't know what would happen after.

Besides that endless wandering I did visit the Ocenario and I did watch the Portugal vs Spain football game in a bar in Bairro Alto. FORCA PORTUGAL!

So yes, it was fun. It was lovely. But I was ready to go home. It's been a while since I last felt like I was ready to go home. But there I was, ready to go back.
I did enjoy Lisbon.
And I know one day I will again.
