I spent two nights in Tomar. I slept well and met new people, made a few new friends in the process.

I didn't return to Tomar for only the nice hostel, but also to finally visit the Castle they have. It's an old convict and the city was built by commandment from the Templar knights. I was the last city they comissioned for building.

You can see the Templar crosses all over the place, in the paving of the streets and in the souvenirs they sell.

Even though it might sound a bit strange to go back into a small city only to visit the castle, I must tell you that it was worth it. You can Google some more information about it. As you can see from the pictures I took, it's pretty amazing!

I must also say, that the Hostel 2300 Tomar is one of the loveliest I've been to. It's like a home where you get to meet new people everytime you come. No matter if you stop there on your Camino or if you come to see the city. The living room practically forces you to meet new people. The staff there is amazing, time after time. And you actually learn to know them too while you stay.
I really like how things are there and will be looking forward stopping there again later in life.
