I arrived to Lisbon early in the Sunday morning. I took a metro from the airport as advised by a friend who lives here. Citymapper was in good use once again.
With a little additional help from Google maps I found my way to the hostel, where I was warmly greeted. After the check-in procedures, I got to leave my backpack there to wait for my room to be ready.

So there I was. Tired after the early flight and a night not that well slept. I had one thing planned for the day and it was getting the pilgrim passports from the Lisbon Cathedral. I knew it would be around the corner so I made my way there. I walked in right in the middle of a Sunday mass. I stood in the back of the church, in a small area where the tourists were marked to stay. I ended up waiting for a good while there and eventually attending the mass more than just waiting. Listening to the songs that were all new to me, listening to the preacher speaking a language I don't understand and from time to time wandering off inside my head. The tourists were pushing me every now and then so every time my attention wandered off, I was literally pushed or pulled back to where I actually was.

After the mass I stood there for another 20 minutes or so, waiting for the hassle to settle. I walked around a bit and found the pilgrim passports inside a glass table. I waited for someone to show up and help me aquire them, but everyone who seemed to work there was busy. After a while I walked up to a man who said that I should come back tomorrow at ten.

Now I'm in Lisbon. I have nothing to do and nowhere to be. So I'm wandering off the streets, dreaming of going to sleep early and hoping that I get everything done before it's time to leave this city behind. :)
